Ruggedized Defense Displays and Embedded Systems
Ruggedized display assemblies, embedded computing and power for vehicle, command and communications platforms, with optical bonding, NVIS-capable and EMI-shielded options.
The Requirement
Engineered for Demanding Defense Environments
Defense programs and safety-critical applications place demanding requirements on displays, embedded computing and power - from environmental performance and optical readability to EMI, lifecycle and documentation.
What matters is not the individual component but a precisely coordinated system that stays stable, compliant and available over the long term. FORTEC US brings ruggedized displays, embedded computing and power together as an engineered system, with shock and vibration, optical bonding, EMI and night-vision requirements considered from the specification stage where applicable.
A ruggedized display is not a panel with a stronger frame. It is a system: a bonded optical stack, a backlight selected for the required brightness and dimming range, a stable controller, thermal management appropriate to the enclosure, and power designed around the platform input. VacuBond® optical bonding, a state-of-the-art bonding process developed by FORTEC, eliminates the air gap between the display and cover glass, reducing internal reflections and helping improve resistance to condensation, shock and vibration.

Country of Origin
Integrated and Tested in New York
Displays and systems for US customers are bonded, integrated, configured and tested at our Ronkonkoma, New York facility, rather than shipped through as stock. This gives our US team direct involvement in configuration, engineering changes, PCNs and EOL replacements throughout the program lifecycle.
