Industrial System Integration: Display, Touch, Computer, and Power

Industrial system integration means bringing the display, touch screen, embedded computer, power supply, and enclosure together into one tested unit that an OEM or machine builder can build into its equipment. Display, embedded computing, and power sit under one roof at FORTEC, so one engineering team is accountable for the whole assembly instead of several suppliers each answering for one part. VacuBond® optical bonding, touch integration, and production happen at our own facility in Ronkonkoma, New York, where systems for US customers are bonded, integrated, configured, and tested rather than shipped through as stock.

What we integrate

  • Display and touch screen integration: a TFT display with a PCAP or resistive touch screen and cover glass, joined with VacuBond® optical bonding. We bond any display, from our range or not.
  • Embedded system integration: the single board computer, motherboard, or TFT controller that drives the display, configured for it, with a preinstalled Windows or Linux image.
  • Power: the supply specified with the display and computer it feeds, so the power for the whole system is designed once.
  • Enclosure: the mechanical design of the bezel or housing the assembly is built into.

How a project runs

We stay with the project from first samples to series production. We monitor the parts we supply for end-of-life notices, so a last-time buy or a qualified replacement is planned before supply runs out. When a program grows into volume or has to be built outside the United States, our Group manufactures it in Germany, the Czech Republic, or the Netherlands, and we deliver it as one project.
