HMI Displays and Operator Panels

An HMI display is the screen and touch input an operator uses to monitor and control a machine, and we supply it in four forms: a display kit with a TFT controller, a display kit with an embedded computer, an IoT panel, and a complete panel PC. Which one fits depends on where the application software runs, the display size and touch the operator needs, the conditions at the front of the machine, and whether the HMI mounts inside the equipment or arrives as a finished unit. Our kits are fully wired, configured for the chosen display, and tested before delivery, so they run as soon as they are connected. Tell us how the machine is operated and where it has to work, and we will put together the display, touch, computer, and power for it.

How to choose

  • The machine already has a computer or controller: a display kit with one of our Prisma TFT controllers, developed within the FORTEC Group for long-term availability, taking VGA, DVI, HDMI, or DisplayPort input up to 4K UHD. The kit includes the LED driver, touchscreen, interface board, and cables.
  • The HMI runs the application itself: a display kit with a single board computer or motherboard, with memory, storage, touch, cooling, and a preinstalled Windows or Linux image.
  • A networked operator panel: IoT Compact Panels, 7 to 15-inch displays on our ARM-based Artista-IoT controller, which work as a network device over Ethernet or as an HDMI monitor.
  • A finished unit: panel PCs from 10.1 to 46 inches, including models with 10-finger PCAP touch and an IP65 front, and medical panel PCs certified to IEC 60601-1 and IEC 60601-1-2.
