Transportation Displays and Embedded Systems
Outdoor-readable displays, embedded computing and wide-input power for passenger information, vehicle systems and ticketing - specified for vibration, wide temperature swings and long service lives.
The Requirement
Engineered for Transportation Environments
Manufacturers of rail vehicles, buses and transport systems need hardware designed for long product lifecycles and demanding safety and environmental requirements.
What matters is not the individual component but a precisely coordinated system that stays stable, serviceable and available over the long term. FORTEC US brings high-brightness and bar-type display assemblies, fanless embedded computing and wide-input power together as one engineered system, with outdoor readability, vibration and wide-temperature requirements considered from the outset.
Transportation systems share many engineering challenges with other demanding applications FORTEC supports. Outdoor readability draws on the same optical expertise used in high-ambient-light environments, while vibration, temperature cycling and rugged computing requirements draw on experience across industrial and defense applications. For sunlight readability, VacuBond® optical bonding, a state-of-the-art bonding process developed by FORTEC, eliminates the air gap between the display and cover glass, reducing internal reflections and helping protect against condensation and vibration.
