How to Keep a Touch Screen Germ-free
December 4, 2019
With the start of cold and flu season, everyone is taking extra precautions when it comes to steering clear of any illness. And when that’s the case, nothing is off-limits regarding cleaning and sanitization. That said, one of those items is a touch screen. Whether it be your cell phone, a custom display, or a smart tablet, each of these surfaces can get pretty dirty over time.
Before you dunk it in water (we strongly urge you not to do this), here are some ways to clean your screen with ease!
How to Clean a Touch Screen
Cloth + Spray
Just like we stated earlier, you’ll never want to submerge your touch screen in water — or any liquid for that matter. However, the best way to clean it is to take a microfiber cloth and spray a small amount of water + white vinegar solution into it. Once complete, wipe down your screen, let it air dry, and you’ll be good to go!
Lens Wipe
If you happen to wear eyeglasses, do you use pre-moistened lens wipes? If so, you can use those on a touch screen, too! Of course, you’ll want to make sure that any pre-moistened wipes are safe for your device and won’t harm it. The best part about utilizing this method? After you’re done cleaning the screen from top to bottom, you can toss the wipe(s) in the garbage — it’s that simple!
