The Importance of Fireproof Displays in a Workplace Setting
March 5, 2021
Monitors, touch screens, and displays in public areas serve passers-by and visitors as an information and guidance system. Such monitors are often located in places that are also designated as escape routes for which special fire protection rules apply, even for monitors. Because of this, here at Fortec Displays Technologies, we create Fireload Optimized Displays that are fireproof and align with all regulations to keep everyone in your building safe in case of an emergency.
Here’s what you need to know about our Fire Optimized Displays:
Exit Safely
Safety should always be a top concern if you own a building. Public areas, which are also marked emergency exit routes within buildings, must be accessible in case of fire. Displays assist in guiding individuals in times of emergency safely to where they need to go, making them a real asset and necessity in any building with lots of people. Our displays are bright and durable, making them perfect for you to help assist in a safe and efficient exit from everyone inside during an emergency.
And when there isn’t an emergency, there are plenty of other benefits to using our displays!
Fire-Resistant
Flammable materials with a high risk of smoke gas development must not be used or installed in your business areas. They can be a serious hazard to everyone if they do catch on fire suddenly as they can release dangerous fumes, smoke, and cause injuries to individuals nearby. Our monitors feature a fireproof protective glass with or without a touchscreen and a stable housing made of sheet steel. They are available as a monitor for external control or with an integrated PC, and each monitor is accompanied by a certificate confirming its fire class.
Regulations
Our monitors are designed to adhere to all fire safety regulations to keep everyone safe. Here at Fortec Displays Technologies, we have created and developed monitors to be as safe as possible and adhere to any and all guidelines. They are available as a monitor for external control or with an integrated PC, and each monitor is accompanied by a certificate confirming its fire class. Monitors from our BLO-Line are available with two different reactions to fire classification levels.
