TFT LCD Displays and Display Modules

A TFT display is a liquid crystal display (LCD) in which every pixel is switched by its own thin-film transistor, which gives the sharp, fast, full-color image that industrial and medical equipment depends on. We supply TFT displays from 2 to 98 inches, for indoor or outdoor use, from standard panels to high-brightness, transflective, bar type, round, square, curved, and transparent formats. A design usually turns on readability in its lighting, the operating temperature range, the interface to the controller or computer, and how long the panel must stay available. We combine the display with touch, VacuBond® optical bonding, a controller board, and a bezel or housing, and we monitor every panel we supply for end-of-life notices, so a last-time buy or a replacement is planned before supply runs out.

How to choose

• Brightness: standard panels run around 300 to 500 cd/m²; high-brightness models reach 1,000 cd/m² and above, up to 4,500 cd/m², for daylight. Transflective panels use ambient light to stay readable in direct sun.
• Temperature: operating ranges reach -30°C or -40°C at the low end and +85°C at the high end, for outdoor and unheated enclosures.
• Interface: LVDS on most panels; eDP, MIPI, and V-by-One on higher resolutions and newer designs; HDMI on panels with an integrated controller.
• Format: bar type, round, square, curved, transparent, and EMI/NVIS displays for special enclosures and night-vision use.
