How Fortec Saves the Environment
December 6, 2017
When it comes to saving the environment through green technological advancements, Fortec takes the lead. Usually when a standard technological company creates a product, not only is their creation absorbing an excess amount of energy — but it increases the carbon footprint of the user. Here at Fortec, we work in harmony with our environment (not against it), and here’s how we do it:
It Starts With Us
Before we create a product at Fortec, we always conduct extensive research on how we can effectively make the product less invasive to the environment. When looking for green efforts, we simply look around our office! That’s right: when our building was being constructed, we had every say in making our work environment as eco-friendly as possible! From using a geothermal heat pump, to keep our offices at a comfortable temperature, to finding energy efficient ways to reduce our carbon footprint, we’re completely dedicated to the green movement — and it shows in our products!
Keep It Green
As we mentioned earlier, our dedication to green starts from inspiration around our work environment — which positively impacts the way we manufacture our products! When it comes to our design for TFT controllers, we choose the best energy-efficient parts to incorporate into the finished product. This will not only reduce a carbon footprint effectively, but it will also save energy and cut energy bills in half, too. In addition to these key green features, our high-performance products also use mercury-free LED backlights and controller boards with switching function (to control display brightness).
As the global leader in optical bonding, Fortec US supports you in all project phases – from the construction of the metal housing and procurement of specific parts to in-house development of controller boards and touchscreen integration.
