The Dos and Don’ts of Touch Screens
June 5, 2020
When it comes to business aesthetics, touch screens are the modern way to show your consumer that you are willing to provide a convenient experience. However, the care you put into these devices can also say a lot about your business.
Without protective measures or proper cleaning, your once shiny new piece of technology can now begin to look broken and warn. To ensure you touch screens are always ready to provide the perfect experience, here are some dos and don’ts to consider:
Don’t Use Paper Towels
Paper towels and facial tissues can scratch your screen. And though these minor abrasions might not be visible at first, continued use will not only dull the screen, but scratches will build up over time.
Do Wipe With Lint-Free Cloth
They are made up of multi fibers that allow dirt to be gripped with ease. Not to mention, these fibers are so small that they will prevent your surface from being scratched. You can use the cloth dry, or slightly dampen it for a deeper clean. If you choose to pair it with a cleaner, be sure it is formulated for touchscreen use.
Don’t Saturate With Water
Though a small amount of water on your micro-fiber cloth or a few sprays of an approved touch screen cleaner is acceptable, keep it minimal. Too much water can lead to permanent damage, so be mindful of how you go about cleaning your screens.
