In the OCT process, a PCAP touch sensor is applied directly to the display glass during the production of TFT displays. The additional glass of the touchscreen becomes obsolete. Moreover the touch controller and the converter for the LED backlight are integrated in the display housing. That means:

• internal reflections are reduced for a more
   brilliant display
• The module is lightweight and compact
• Shielding increases the electromagnetic compatibility
   for trouble-free operation

The WVGA resolution (800×480) and a symmetrical wide viewing angle of v/h 170°/170° provide a clear picture from all sides. Due to a brightness of 500cd/m² and a temperature range of -20 to + 70°C, the display is perfect for use
in harsh industrial applications.
 
To control the display quickly and easily we offer kit solutions comprising the PrismaMEDIA-eco TFT controller board with VGA, HDMI and DisplayPort input and all necessary cables. On request, we use the innovative optical bonding technology VacuBond® to mount a variety of cover glasses on the display front to protect it against external influences.
 
The TCG070WVLRxPCx-GDx118 is an identically constructed version with integrated I²C PCAP. More TFT displays with on-cell touch technology are planned and a 12.1″ WXGA (1280×800) is going to be the next on the market.
