New Leadership for FORTEC US

FORTEC US has a new leadership team, and more authority to go with it. Paul Hooper joined in July as President, working alongside Scott Makboulian, who continues as Co-President. Together they lead our growth across North America.
Paul joins us from FORTEC UK, where he spent seven years as Managing Director of Sales, setting the strategic direction of sales and marketing and reorganizing and growing the business. He has 30+ years of experience in the international electronics industry, with particular depth in market analysis, leadership, and sales. His focus here is organic growth and building on the position FORTEC US already holds in the North American market.

What does this mean for customers in North America?
These appointments are part of a wider reorganization across the FORTEC Group, which is broadening its second tier of management and giving each region more responsibility and decision-making authority. For customers in North America, it means more of the decisions that affect their projects are made here.
Across the FORTEC Group
FORTEC has appointed new management at three other subsidiaries:
- Martin Novák, Managing Director of FORTEC CZ from June 1, 2026, responsible for the production site in Dýšina and for its planned move and expansion.
- Rhett Evans, who succeeded Paul at FORTEC UK on September 8, 2026, with 25+ years of experience in embedded computing, display technologies and custom system solutions.
- Patrick von Unold, Managing Director of FORTEC Integrated from October 1, 2026, the group’s display and embedded computing business and a key contributor to its research and development.
Michael Spatny, COO of FORTEC, described the appointments as “a key part of the FORTEC Group’s new growth strategy.”
