However, high computing performance alone is often not enough. Especially in compact or fanless systems, power consumption and heat generation must also be compatible with the available enclosure and cooling concept. The IB301 therefore supports flexible power profiles that can be tailored to the specific application. FORTEC assists customers from the early stages of project planning in selecting suitable settings and supports the optimization of power consumption, thermal management, and overall system behavior. Particularly where installation space is limited, this helps achieve a well-balanced combination of performance and energy efficiency.
The IB301 also offers a high degree of flexibility for display and network connectivity. LVDS or eDP, HDMI 2.1, and DisplayPort 2.1 enable the integration of existing display generations while also facilitating the further development of established product lines and the gradual transition to new display technologies.
For data-intensive and connected applications, the platform also provides two 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet interfaces. M.2 expansion slots for wireless and cellular connectivity offer additional options for decentralized edge and AI applications.
