What Does the FORTEC Group Mean for US Customers?

FORTEC US is one of nine companies in the FORTEC Group, which has locations in seven countries. For a US customer, that means a design and manufacturing partner in Ronkonkoma, New York, with the capacity and expertise of an international group behind it. We work as one group, not separate companies in different countries.

What Is the FORTEC Group?

The FORTEC Group is an international group in display technology, embedded systems, and power supplies. Its parent company, FORTEC Elektronik AG, is headquartered in Germering, near Munich. Our sister companies are in Germany, the UK, Switzerland, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, and Egypt, and we are the group’s company in the United States.

What We Do in Ronkonkoma

We design, manufacture, and support display, embedded, and power solutions for US customers, from our facility in Ronkonkoma. Engineering, production, quality assurance, a clean room, and the room where we bond displays with VacuBond® optical bonding are under one roof here.

What the Group Adds to a US Project

Where a project reaches into a sister company’s region, or calls for their expertise, we work on it together. We also coordinate with our sister companies for questions and advice. Several group members get involved where it makes sense, with a lot of communication across the group.

We don’t bring the group into every project. When we do, we still deliver it to the customer as one project, through us.

The same VacuBond machines and processes run in Germering, Ronkonkoma, and near Pilsen in the Czech Republic. The group’s own claim is big enough to compete, small enough to care.

Can a Project Be Manufactured Overseas?

Occasionally, when it’s more efficient, part of a project is produced at another group site. We remain the customer’s partner in the US either way.
